Supreme Court of Canada LTA Decision Coming This Morning May 15, 2025
I’ve been informed by my lawyer that the judgment on my application for leave to appeal (LTA) to Supreme Court of Canada will be rendered this morning, Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 9:45 a.m.
For those who want to check the result as soon as it’s released, you can follow it here:
This decision will determine whether my case will proceed to a full hearing before the Supreme Court of Canada.
What’s at stake?
If leave is granted, the Court will address the important question of what “genetic characteristics” actually means under the Canadian Human Rights Act (CHRA); a legal clarification that could impact privacy, discrimination protections, and bodily autonomy for all Canadians.
If leave is denied, my case will continue, but limited to the grounds of perceived disability. Either way, this battle isn’t over. I’ll have the peace of mind knowing I took this as far as our legal system allows.

My case information is also publicly available on the Supreme Court of Canada’s website under file number 41630:

Thank you all for your continued support. This fight has always been about more than me. It’s about standing up for our rights, now and for future generations!
